Abseiling, 3 Day Bluff Knoll, Stirling Ranges - WA
Bluff Knoll overlooks the Stirling Ranges and surrounding farmland, affording magnificent views in all directions. The traditional land owners of this area (the Noongar community) refer to Bluff Knoll as Bular Mial and refer to the Stirling Ranges as Koi Kyenunu-ruff meaning “mist that moves around the mountains”.
Not many people have the opportunity to abseil this magnificent mountain. Once you have tackled the hike to the top (which is worth the effort!), stand and watch the clouds roll in over the earth below and admire the rocky outcrops that make Bluff Knoll so inspiring.
One of the unique experiences this activity offers is gazing down on the majestic wedge tail eagles as they soar back a forth across the cliff face, under you at times! Once you are on the cliff face they often fly to within 25 metres to take a closer look.
Bring your camera - you won't get many opportunities like this!
