Test your determination and challenge yourself on this great one day rockclimbing abseiling adventure.

Rock climbing is the ultimate mental and physical outdoor activity. Nothing else will matter to you on the rock face except where you are going to put your next foot or hand grip. Rock climbing is about concentration, agility and commitment.

Abseiling and Rockclimbing takes place west of Melbourne in the Brisbane Ranges or You Yangs, about 60 minutes from Melbourne.

During the course of the day you will be taught the fundamentals of abseiling and once you feel confident with these skills, you will have the option of attempting forward abseiling. A whole new perspective of the world is realised as you lean over the edge of a cliff, parallel to the ground below.

Part of this adventure is also dedicated to learning how to rock climb. You learn at your own pace in an atmosphere that allows you to challenge yourself to a level you are comfortable with. Of course, our guides will encourage you to push your limits so that you can gain the most out of your day.

Great expirience...would recommend to anyone who has not done outdoor climbing and absailing before..very different to indoor climbing and much more rewarding. Plus the particapants and our instructor nicky were heaps of fun..Thanks Adrenalin and Kaykaze

I enjoyed the experience - Nicky was appropriately encouraging and her enthusiasm for the activity rubbed off -safety instructions were clear as were techniques to employ also clear. I was very happy with my sense of achievement and the scenic views are absolutley staggering so a wait turn situation allowed time to take it all in. Well done good work

Fitness and Experience

No experience is necessary
A reasonable level of fitness is required to participate but no previous experience is necessary.
If you have any medical conditions or dietary requirements that may be relevant please inform the Adrenalin Crew at time of booking and again your guides prior to the trip
Minimum age is 10 years when accompanied by a parent. When no parent is present minimum age is 16 years . Parents are welcome to just come as spectators for $35 including transport from Melbourne City.

What to Bring/Wear

Light weight, non-restrictive clothing and footwear, 3/4 pants, t-shirt and sandshoes are recommended
A warm jacket - the weather can change dramatically in the mountains
Wet weather gear
Water bottle
Sunscreen and a hat or beanie
Sunglasses
Day pack
Camera

Transport from The Arts Centre in Melbourne is available with prior arrangement.

More Information

When can I go? This Adventure is available on scheduled days each month, pending minimum numbers. If you have a group of 4 or more, you may be able to choose an alternative date.

From December to June, this experience takes place in the Brisbane Ranges (Staughton Vale). During the months of July to November The You Yangs is the alternative climb/abseil site.

Transport is provided complimentry to the Brisbane Range or The You Yangs from The Arts Centre in Melbourne. Please note that Public transport to the sites is not available, it is recommended you take advantage of the complimentry transport from Melbourne, Please inform us at the time of booking if you wish to take this option.

Spectators are welcome on the day for $35 each, which includes transport for Mlebourne City.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
WEATHER - Please note that new "Fire Danger Ratings" are now in place for Victoria. All tours will be subject to suitable weather and fire safety conditions as advised by relevant authorities. This may mean tours are postponed at short notice as Total Fire Ban Days are not declared until late afternoon on the day prior. This is beyond the tour operator's control, and we appreciate your understanding.
