A fantastic two hour abseiling adventure in the heart of Brisbane CBD. A great start to any evening out! Welcome to the vertical world – Abseiling Brisbane! Sunset abseiling provides an exciting, adrenalin filled adventure that is a base skill required for caving, canyoning, rock climbing, mountaineering, remote area bushwalking or just for fun. Abseiling is a great way to safely step outside your comfort zone and challenge yourself.

You start the afternoon with a safety brief and then move up to the 20m slopes. Once there you’ll abseil down the cliffs as the Brisbane city skyline turns from day to night behind you. This abseiling session is suitable for beginners and those who have abseiled before.

No experience is necessary. Safety procedures will be explained before you rig up and abseil the starter slope. After a couple of abseils on these beginner slopes you'll become familiar with the correct abseiling stance and other descent techniques.

Fitness and Experience

Sunset Abseiling Kangaroo Point
However, previous experience is not required and this adventure is suitable for beginners
An average level of fitness is recommended
Minimum age is 12
Climbers aged 12-18 years require a parent/guardian present on the day to observe and sign an indemnity form on the climber’s behalf

What to Bring/Wear

Wear comfortable clothing that suits the weather on the day
Lightweight, non-restrictive clothing is best.
Wear sturdy footwear, hiking or jogging shoes are good, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and insect repellent
Camera optional – however you’ll be kicking yourself if you don’t bring it!
Lunch and snacks plus at least 1.5L water for the day.
Backpack to carry your personal belongings and your allocated abseiling gear
A hat, sunglasses, sun screen, and insect repellent
