View the Brisbane City from a new perspective...the river. During your Brisbane River canoeing tour, you will paddle past spots that you can’t even see from the ferry and enjoy Brisbane ‘the river city’ from the water. Depending on the tide, we’ll cruise up past Newstead or down past New Farm Park or under the Gateway Bridge from the Beach at Colmsie. Either way there’s plenty to see and lots of fun to be had. On commencement of the adventure, the instructor will give a safety briefing and some paddling instructions before launching into the water. Once in the water the instructor will get everyone to practice their strokes and techniques before heading off for the site seeing adventure along the river. The canoe you will be paddling has a flat bottom, holds 2 people and is very stable. Even complete beginner's will feel totally comfortable as they leisurely paddle along the river taking in the views.

fitness and experience
- This canoeing session is ideal for beginners and does not require any previous experience
- An average level of fitness is recommended
- Participants must 12 years and over
- 12-18 years require a parent/guardian present on the day to observe and sign an indemnity from on the canoer’s behalf
what to bring/wear
- Wear comfortable clothes that suit the weather on the day
- Be sure to wear old shoes that you don’t mind getting wet
- Old runners are ideal, thongs or bare feet are not suitable
- Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen
- A light jumper as it can get cool on the water
- Snacks and plenty of drinking water
- Your camera (we recommend a disposable, waterproof camera)
- A change of clothes and a towel

The Brisbane River View Canoeing Tour is held on Sunday morning between 8.30am and 11.30am. We run between Comslie Recreation Reserve and the Story Bridge. However the trip is tide dependant so we will confirm the start point when you book.
