The first part of this amazing day of canyoning in the Blue Mountains is designed to teach the necessary abseiling skills to those who have never before done so. Under the instruction of professional canyoning guides your confidence will build as you take on smaller drops, leaving you eager for the upcoming canyoning challenges. If you have previously abseiled or been canyoning, this session will serve as the perfect refresher on equipment, signals and body positioning.

After the morning session you'll sit at one of the spectacular Blue Mountains lookouts and devour a superb lunch before wandering for half an hour along the Valley of Waters Creek to the start of Empress Falls canyon. There you'll don wetsuits and run through a briefing on canyoning techniques before leaping off rocky outcrops into stunning jade pools, and floating freely down creeks.

The canyoning trek will take you through the open-air playground that is Empress Falls as you swim, climb and scamper, all the while admiring the surrounding beauty. The final 30-metre abseil, landing in a refreshing green-water pool, is sure to get the adrenalin pumping. This is a fun, scenic canyoning tour that offers you the chance to appreciate the wonderful scenery of the Blue Mountains and is the perfect introduction to the stunning sport of canyoning.
