The Carlton & United Brewery tour also gives you an insight into the history and tradition of beer brewing in Australia, the art of brewing, and a birds-eye view of the plant's state-of-the-art technology.

Of course a brewery tour wouldn't be complete without some complimentary tastings of fresh, cold beer afterwards!

Experience Details

Fitness and Experience

No previous experience required.
There are some stairs during the tour which unfortunately means that it is not suitable for wheelchairs.
Under 18's are allowed under the direct supervision of a Parent or Guardian, but will not be allowed to sample the beers (soft drinks will be made available instead)

What to Bring/Wear

Please ensure you are wearing comfortable closed toe shoes as there will be walking invoved (no thongs / open shoes etc)
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the weather on the day
Sorry, Cameras are NOT permitted inside the brewery.
If you are planning on sampling the beers at the end of your tour, please remember to drink responsibly and if you are driving - remember your BAC limit.

What is Supplied

Safety Vests - as this is a real working brewery, you must wear the supplied safety vests.
Complimentary sample of fresh cold draft beers at the conclusion of your tour. (soft drinks available for those under 18 years)

More Information

When can I go?
Tours operate Monday to Friday at 10:00am, 12:00noon and 2:00pm (excluding public holidays).
Saturday tours are also available - see note below
There is a maximum of 25 persons per tour.

Please note:
This is a genuine working brewery and production numbers vary. As a result of this, All Saturday tours (and some Friday afternoon tours) are run on a reduced capacity so there may be cases where some of the machinery (e.g, bottling machines) are not running.
