Spa Experience, 60 Minute Treatment Package - Daintree QLD

This is a day you'll look forward to for a long time and remember long after. It's a beautiful introduction to the wonders of the Daintree Rainforest, the world's oldest living rainforest from the view point of a member of the worlds oldest race, the Australian Aboriginals. It includes a Guided Rainforest Walk with an Indigeous guide, lunch and a drink in the onsite restaurant by internationally acclaimed chefs, and then a 60 minute spa treatment of your choice. Total indulgence, and a completely unique experience!

Your day will start with an Indigenous Guided Rainforest Walk with an Indigenous guide, who will explain more about the species that exist in this tropical habitat. On this walk, you will also learn about the Kuku Yalanji tribe - the Rainforest Aboriginals - who were, and still are, the original inhabitants and guardians of the spirit of the rainforest. While also sharing personal stories with you - you'll hear stories about mission life and removal from traditional lands, and come to understand the importance of the land and the impact of European colonisation. Interpretive walks and the plight of the modern day Aboriginal helps to preserve their unique traditional culture. All revenue generated through these guided interpretive walks are reinvested to further develop and extend on the concept of sharing this ecological and cultural wonder.

Following the walk, treat yourself to lunch with a native twist prepared in the onsite restaurant  by internationally acclaimed chefs. With it's balcony terrace, the restaurant overlooks the peaceful fresh water lagoon and is accessible via elevated boardwalks through the lush rainforest. It is uniquely crafted to compliment the rainforest setting and capture the serenity of the fresh water stream flowing beneath.

Then on to the Day Spa, where you will select one of the following totally unique 60 minute spa treatments:

• Walu BalBal Shine Face - A purifying, hydrating facial incorporating Quandong berry, seaweed and bush honey
• Wuri Julma - Julma Massage - A soothing, tailored massage to meet your specific needs
• Jina Treatment - Foot - An invigorating foot treatment
• Julma To Massage - A rebalancing, deep relaxation massage

This Spa is a body, mind and soul experience. Set in the Daintree Rainforest, it is the spa's intention for you to take away a lasting sense of wellbeing. Treatments are carefully designed and selected in-line with the Spa philosophy. The menu has been collated out of respect and with approval of the Kuku Yalanji elders.
