Tackle the highest abseil in the world with this Adrenalin-pumping full day abseiling course! You'll gradually build up your skills with smaller abseils, before facing the ultimate 140m (450ft) abseil, which is the highest commercial abseil in the world!
On the day of your adventure, you'll be led through basic safety guidelines, and given hints and tips on how to tackle the abseil more comfortably. You'll graduate from two smaller abseils (30m then 50m) before tackling the big kahuna - the 140m drop! It sounds frightening but the fully qualified and experienced instructors can guide even the most nervous participants to accept the challenge!
This is a full day tour. On the way to the Gordon Dam, you will pass through the rich pastures and hop fields of the Derwent Valley, in contrast to the beautiful south west wilderness and world heritage area. Please note that this experience runs every day, unless scheduled maintenance is required by the dam operators.
DON'T FORGET TO BOOK AHEAD! 3 weeks' notice of booking is required to secure access to the dam.
