Hot Air Ballooning - Cairns (POB Fee included)
The hot-air ballooning journey begins with a briefing by the pilot before you head to the launch site and, if you like, help prepare the hot-air balloon for flight. Thirty minutes later you'll be drifting gracefully over the countryside. The hot-air ballooning flight itself will last around half an hour.
After gently touching down again a hot air ballooning flight certificate is distributed to all passengers, rounding off a fabulous adventure.

Amazing balloon ride over Mareeba. It was not the clearest day but he beauty of all the mist and clouds rising in the morning was just breathtaking. Have some wonderful shots of the morning sun trying to peer through the mist and clouds...WONDERFUL... our 13 year old son loved it. He is scared of heights but he said he felt really safe in the basket.

Fitness and Experience
- No particular level of fitness or experience is required but you must be able to stand up for the duration of the flight
- Minimum age is 5 years. 0 – 4 years are not able to fly but are welcome to accompany parents on the coach
- Also make mention of any medical concerns, at the time of booking so that we can accommodate you on the day
What to Bring/Wear
- Wear comfortable clothing such as shorts or trousers and a light shirt - warm clothing in winter months (avoid whites)
- Wear a cap in summer or beanie in winter if desired
- Wear solid shoes as the ground is often covered with dew in the early morning

More Information
When and where can I fly?
The spectacular flight over Mareeba begins from your Cairns or Port Douglas accommodation where we will collect you. Take off is just after daybreak when the air is mild and still and the launch site varies depending on wind conditions.
What about transport?
Departs daily ex Cairns between 4.00am - 4.30am & ex Port Douglas at 4.30am (daily with a minimum of 2 passengers). Returns to Cairns 10.00am & Port Douglas 10.30am.
NB: Departure and return times are approximate and vary from summer to winter 60 minutes flights are available, please check with Adrenalin.
