Fitness and Experience

• Suitable for beginners to advanced kayakers with an average level of fitness

What to Bring/Wear

Clothes:
Please pack your clothes in a garbage bag or soft small bag which can easily be placed in the hull of the kayak. We will provide heavy duty dry bags to place your gear in.

• 2 sets of kayaking clothes - one to wear on day one and a fresh set for day two.
• Comfortable kayaking clothes suitable to weather: Long sleeves, long pants, shorts, t'shirts, or shirts
• One change of clothes and shoes for the evening. If in winter or autumn please included Thermal underwear, jumper and warm gear for night, scarf, beanie, gloves etc
• swimmers or bathers
• underwear
• sleeping bag and sleeping sheet - these can be hired from us for $28 extra if you don't have one
• pillow optional
• personal toiletries – deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, brush or comb
• towel
• A lightweight torch (or headtorch) with spare batteries and globe

• camera (in a waterproof plastic container)
• hat
• Personal emergency medication e.g. Ventolin
• Rain jacket suitable to the conditions; preferably made of a waterproof and breathable fabric.

• Water bladder or container with two litres of water

Standard package:

• Fully guided - our guides are experienced & passionate about the Hawkesbury region
• All meals: 1 x breakfast consisting of fresh fruit, juices, cereal and omelettes, 2 delcious lunches - 1 will be a smorgasbord with fresh prawns, fruit & snacks to enjoy along the way, pre-dinner cheeses, olives and dips, gourmet dinner including fresh snapper.

How stable are the kayaks? 

Our kayaks are state-of-the-art dagger sea kayaks, they are extremely stable and the chances of a capsize are very remote. You will be wearing a PFD (life jacket) at all times and the kayaks are virtually unsinkable due to their airtight compartments.
