The Bungle Bungle Range, in the World Heritage Listed Purnululu National Park, is one of the most fascinating geological landmarks in Western Australia. From an aircraft, the Bungle Bungle Range is an imposing sight. The orange and black stripes across the beehive-like mounds, encased in a skin of silica and algae, are clearly visible as we approach from the south. As we sweep further over the range a hidden world of gorges and pools is revealed, with fan palms clinging precariously to walls and crevices in the rocks. The following tours combine your plane flight with a 4WD and walking tour.

Take in a day with a difference. Join us to experience views of Lake Kununurra, Lake Argyle and the Carr Boyd & Osmand Ranges enroute to the World Heritage Listed Purnululu National Park, home to the Bungle Bungle Range. On landing, you will be transferred into an air conditioned 4WD vehicle. A short drive will take you past the amazing beehive domes. Your unforgettable walk along Piccaninny Creek to Cathedral Gorge will indulge you in history before you reach the magnificence of the ancient amphitheatre which doubles as your lunch location. Take your time to explore the gorge for yourself, wandering amid the towering orange walls. Experience the tranquillity of this impressive gorge which is lit from above by a giant hole in its sandstone roof. As you explore be sure to test out the acoustics of this natural amphitheatre.

After lunch join a guided walk along the ancient dry bed of Piccaninny Creek and inspect the 350-million-year-old orange and black striped beehive domes up close. Your guide will bring the natural history of the Bungle Bungle domes to life. On return to the Bellburn base camp, light refreshments will be served. The flight back to Kununurra will encompass an orbit of the Argyle Diamond Mine, one of the largest diamond mines in the world, it produces one-third of the world’s diamonds. Arrive back in Kununurra at approximately 5.00 p.m. This experience is seasonal and operates from April to November only.

Child Age / Infant Policy
Infants are classified as 0-2 years, and may travel free of charge, on their parent’s lap. Please note that only one infant may travel unrestrained per aircraft. Children classified as 3 – 12 years of age inclusive, must be accompanied by an adult on the flight.

Luggage Restrictions
Luggage is normally restricted to cabin sized, soft luggage only and a maximum weight limit of 10 kilograms per person. Suitcases and additional luggage may be carried on the same flight subject to loading availability and at the discretion of the Pilot/company. If the luggage does not travel on the same flight, luggage may be transported at an additional cost to the client.
