See Freycinet in a way like no other! Enjoy the adventure of riding your own all-terrain vehicle to isolated parts of the famous Freycinet National Park. Discover Freycinet's magical beaches and spectacular granite sea cliffs on a fully-guided tour with experienced guides.

Your 2 hour adventure departs everyday at 1:00 PM and, from October to March, also at 4:30 PM, from stunning Coles Bay on the East Coast of Tasmania and gateway to the Freycinet Peninsula. At the start of the tour, you will learn the basics of riding the quads, including safe ATV handling and riding technique. From here your guide takes you for an unforgettable journey through the coastal forest along 4WD tracks to either of 2 stunning destinations. Ride to south Friendly Beaches, pristine, white sandy beach that can only otherwise be accessed on foot, or travel through boulder strewn valleys to Bluestone Bay and then on to admire the Coastal Cliffs surrounding Cape Tourville Lighthouse.

A choice of 1 and 3 seater passenger vehicles allows everyone to join in. Vehicles have automatic transmission, are simple to operate and suitable for beginners and up. All tours include an additional 30 minute training session.

This was the first time we did quad bike and loved every minute of it. We're retired people ( 72 and 77 yrs old), but that was no reason not to do it. It was fantastic and I like to do it again in the future.

This adventure took us quadbiking through the Freycinet National park onto the Friendly Beaches. It was absolutely breathtaking scenery. Our instructor was very patient and a great teacher. I felt that I was in good hands. We quadbiked through creeks and pretty steep wash outs and when we finished I was on an adrenalin high.

Fitness and Experience

You are required to have a valid drivers’ licence to ride the quad bikes (minimum of P-plate)
Those without a licence can ride shotgun on the two-seater Polaris Rangers
Recommended age is 5 years and up
Unsuitable for children who require a car booster seat

More Information

Tours depart two times a day at 1:00pm and from October to March also at 4.30pm. It is recommended that all clients bring their own cameras. All tours depart from Coles Bay. No transport is provided but there is a taxi service available in Coles Bay.
