After an exhilarating launch, you'll drift with the wind silently over the parklands, homes and hills of the Hawkesbury region of Sydney.

Hot Air Ballooning begins in the cool, still hours of the early morning, when the air is more stable. The launch site, determined by the weather on the morning, will be in or around the beautiful Hawkesbury Valley. The adventure begins by inflating the balloon using a giant portable fan. Once the balloon starts to take shape the burner is lit, heating the air inside. The hot air inside is lighter than the cool air outside and this is what creates the lift and why it is called a Hot Air Balloon. Passengers are welcome to assist the pilot and crew with inflating the hot air balloon at the launch site, which only takes about 20 minutes.

The Hot Air Balloon Flight for 2 is both picturesque and tranquil. You hear very little sound from the awakening world below. Exit the city then swoop along the scenic coastal route to Wollongong, taking in Stanwell Tops and the spectacular Sea Cliff Bridge along the way.

On arrival you'll have a vehicle briefing, sign some forms and look at the route maps before being issued the keys to the first car of the day - whereupon you'll follow your lead driver out of the garage and hit the road. You'll swap cars throughout to make sure you all have a chance to drive all of the vehicles.

You'll stop for a well-earned lunch at Wollongong before taking some time for the obligatory photoshoot of all the cars together. Then it's back on the road for the return journey - you'll be back to the garage by around 5pm.

This experience is for 2 people; 1 driver and 1 non-driving passenger.

Skydiving is known, for very good reason, as life's ultimate thrill. It's the big daddy, the adventure and rush by which all others are measured. Amazingly, the buzz of free fall is an easy and safe experience, especially during a tandem skydiving adventure.

On the ground you'll be suited up in skydiving gear and your professional skydiving instructors will run through a few "dirt dives" – practice skydiving exits from mock aircraft. You'll also be taught the skydiving basics of canopy control and safe landing procedures. Once you're confident with this skydiving knowledge you'll enjoy a 20-minute flight to an altitude of 14,000 feet (over 4,200 metres) where, after a final check, it's time to hop out and take the quick way down!

The beauty of tandem skydiving is that it requires none of the usual intensive skydiving training, but offers 100 per cent of the mind-blowing, 200km/hr open-air thrill. We'll spend one night in a Bushwalking Eco-Lodge near the picturesque Cox's River and one night camping under the stars where we'll enjoy a glass of wine or beer and a delicious dinner.
Time is allowed at the end of the walk to explore the magnificent Jenolan Caves. Limited places available - don't miss out!
