Diving with sharks and viewing them up close is a fascinating experience, which leaves you in awe of these beautiful marine creatures. By booking onto the shark feed dive, you will be underwater with the sharks during a feeding session. Imagine being just metres away from 3.5m sharks as they are hand fed by the aquarists. During the shark feed dive you will be standing in an open cage while the aquarists hand feed different species of sharks, as well as giant turtles, stingrays and fish. What a view!

The shark feed dive is suitable for first time divers as the session starts with a full scuba diving briefing, shark awareness course and pool skills session. Experienced divers will benefit from the opportunity to refresh their skills. The instructors give personalised tuition, ensuring everyone is confident with the basic skills and commands before entering the oceanarium. With the briefing and skills session completed, it’s time to enter the 5 million litre oceanarium tank. Once in the tank you will experience a 40-minute dive viewing the shark feed. Family and friends are welcome to watch and take photos from the viewing tunnel.

The best defensive driving course in Brisbane, and the closest driver training venue to Brisbane. The aim of the course will be to provide post licence driver training to raise awareness, skill levels and assess attitude and the potential dangers associated with the wrong attitude!

This will be achieved through a mixture of theoretical and practical driving sessions conducted at normal road speeds in the participants own vehicles. The course is suitable for young drivers (from P Platers) right up to the more experienced drivers that just need to hone their skills. It can be conducted in any roadworthy vehicle from the smallest sedan right up to 4 x 4 and light commercial vehicles.

The course will be conducted in a relaxed, enjoyable way encouraging participant interaction and involvement.

After initial introductions a lecture session will explain what “defensive” driving is all about and provide a vital evaluation of driver attitude and an awareness of the inherent dangers of driving on the road. Defensive techniques, driver attitude and vision will be covered together with correct use of modern safety features. An explanation of the correct braking techniques will be covered before being put to the test in a practical demonstration. Participants will then be subjected to potential emergency braking situations on a variety of wet surfaces.

Following a break for lunch another lecture session will cover tyres, vehicle dynamics and skid control. For the afternoon a combination of exercises will include vehicle balance and smoothness, corner lines and basic skid control. A final short lecture will recap the day, re-assess the driver’s attitude before certificates and course notes are handed out as recognition of having completed the day.

Extreme 4X4 Comp Drive, NIGHT SESSION - Avalon Raceway

Forget candlelit dinners or nightclubbing and get dirty after-dark in Melbourne! These are the same Extreme 4X4's driven by Jules Lund in Getaway!

Driving radical Extreme 4x4’s through crazy tracks is one thing, doing it at night with limited visibility is another thing all together!

The sessions starts at 7:30 PM so there is still some daylight to give the drivers a chance to familiarise themselves with the vehicles while they can still see what they’re doing. Soon enough though the darkness closes in and the normally unforgiving tracks get downright nasty.

The first drive of the evening is ‘Razor Back’ where the drivers start to hone their skills with the controls. It’s a short course but one that will force you to learn some driving skills very quickly or suffer the consequences.

Next it’s time to jump into the passenger seat as an Instructor takes you for a spin through ‘Chuckies Revenge’. This is a tough course in the daylight as, amongst other obstacles, you have to drive up a concrete wall, spin the 4x4 on its own length and drive through a narrow gorge that barely fits half the 4x4. Driving this at night is just silly.

‘Hell-dorado’ is the next track on the agenda. Traction is always an issue on this course and since you won’t be able to see a lot you’ll need some precision driving to get through. With sweeping corners, off-camber turns and a big drop off this one demands some respect at night.

The BIG challenge though is your last drive of the night: ‘Chuckies Revenge’. With limited visibility this course is hugely challenging to say the least. With several sections of the course that put the vehicle in a near roll over position, this is definitely one to get the heart pumping.

Keep in mind the Monster 4x4s are one of the few experiences where you can take passengers for all of your drives. You can take up to 3 different passengers (one at a time) for you Comp Drive Night experience; warn them ahead of time though; being a passenger for a night drive is not for the faint hearted.
