Learn the art of sailing from Sorrento aboard a Bavaria 32. This two-day Melbourne Skipper Certificate Course gives you a comprehensive syllabus and enough time to 'lock in' all you learn. On Day Two we also sail to the new and exciting Martha Cove, have lunch sailing down the South Channel and go ashore at Queenscliff.

You’ll gain confidence on the water and pick up knowledge of sea terms, sail handling, rope work, fire precautions, personal safety, man overboard, flares, rules of the road, meteorology, helmsman ship, engines, plus docking, anchoring, tides and currents, basic navigation and radio.

Sorrento is on the Mornington Peninsula, one hour from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Comprehensive course materials are provided, including Log Book, Recreational Boating Handbook and the DVD "Boat Smart from the Start".

More Information

Available every day of the year, except Christmas Day and New Years Eve. Maximum 5 per course. We recommend that you call VicRoads on 13 11 71 at the first opportunity to make an appointment for a Recreational Boating Licence test. A licence is required to helm any motorized vessel, including sailing yachts, other than hire/drive vessels.
