fitness and experience
- This is a training course so you are required to pass a dive medical test, in accordance with Australian Medical Standards, prior to commencement of your course to ensure your safety
- Chronic sinus or asthma or middle ear problems may exclude you as the water depth may cause severe discomfort
- All participants should be able to comfortably swim 200 metres
what to bring/wear
- Prepare as you would for a beach day
- You will need swimmers, a towel, sunscreen and a hat
- Please note you will need to bring your own Mask, Snorkel and Fins for hygiene reasons
- All participants are required bring proof of their completed medical test as well as two passport sized photos
what is supplied
- All scuba equipment including wetsuit and weight belt. Please note you will need to bring your own Mask, Snorkel and Fins for hygiene reasons
- Open Water Text Book and other Theory Material
- 5 pool dives
- 4 openwater dives
- Swimming pool for practical training sessions
- Air conditioned classroom for theory modules
- Diving Logbook - to keep track of your diving adventures
- Internationally recognised PADI Open Water diving qualification

When Can I Learn? Your Open Water Course is usually run over an evening and two weekends. Typically, Monday evening 7:00 - 9:30pm and two weekends consisting of both Saturday and Sunday 8am - 4pm.
Where Can I Learn? Your theory lessons will take place in Parramatta. Your dive locations will be advised on the first evening. Many of our dive locations are remote from shops so make sure you take a drink and light lunch with you. If you require transport to your practical sessions, please discuss with your Instructor on the first evening - car pooling is usually available.
