The Shark Dive program at Manly will get you up close and personal with huge grey nurse sharks, giant stingrays, sea turtles, wobbegong sharks and a vast array of other marine life. Shark Dive Certified Program This program is for qualified divers who hold a current accredited Open Water SCUBA Certification.

The Shark dive experience commences with a shark awareness lecture that educates divers on topics ranging from the plight of the endangered Grey Nurse shark and the identification of the various species to facts surrounding the most dangerous shark species. The information session is followed by the Oceanarium tunnel tour where you are introduced to the sharks from a distance. A thorough scuba and equipment briefing will refresh your skills before you gear up, psych up and slip into the small holding tank. Here you are encouraged to carry out your final gear checks before dropping into the 5,000,000 litre main aquarium. Once in the tank you will commence a 30 minute exploration of this underwater wonderland. The tank contains an endless number of ocean giants who are very keen to meet you - over 30 sharks including grey nurse, wobbegong and Port Jackson as well as four species of curious stingray and two species of marine turtles! Family and friends can watch from the safety of the spectators’ tunnel where they are free to wave, blow kisses and photograph your encounter! This experience will give you an amazing perspective of these fascinating creatures. On exiting the tank you can take off your gear, freshen up and checkout the photographic evidence of your latest adventure!
