Shark Diving, Certified Scuba Tune Up Diver - Sydney
Shark Diving, Certified Scuba Tune Up Diver - Sydney
This is the opportunity of a lifetime if you've ever wanted to dive with sharks. The shark dive scuba tune-up program at Manly will get you up close and personal with huge grey nurse sharks, giant stingrays, sea turtles, wobbegong sharks and a vast array of other marine life. The shark dive scuba tune-up program is for qualified divers who hold a current accredited open water SCUBA certification but have less than 15 dives logged or have 15+ dives but not dived in the past 12 months. Your shark dive adventure commences with a scuba diving and equipment briefing – theory and practical. Don your wetsuit and weight belt and march into the training pool. The instructors will give you personalised tuition, ensuring you are confident with the basic skills and commands. Once you have completed the briefing and skills session, it’s time to make your way over to the aquarium and meet the mysterious ocean giants! Brace those nerves and slip into the small holding tank to carry out the final gear checks before dropping into the 5,000,000 litre Aquarium. Once in the tank you will commence a 30-minute walk through this underwater wonderland. The tank contains an endless number of marine life who are very keen to meet you - over 30 sharks including grey nurse, wobbegong and Port Jackson as well as four species of curious stingray and two species of marine turtles! Family and friends can watch from the safety of the spectators’ tunnel where they are free to wave, blow kisses and photograph your encounter! This experience will give you an amazing perspective of these fascinating creatures. On exiting the tank you can take off your gear, freshen up and checkout the photographic evidence of your latest adventure! You have the opportunity to ask your guides any further questions about the marine life and purchase the perfect photo to show off to your mates!
