For the ultimate in surfing instruction, get your own personal coach. With a private one on one lesson you’re bound to learn at the fastest possible pace. Surfing lessons are for beginners’ right through to advanced surfers. Complete beginners can experience the rush of catching their first wave on their very first lesson. Though be warned, it’s not as easy as the pros make it look. Merrick Davis and his team of friendly, Surf Lifesaving Australia and surfing Australia qualified instructors have a wealth of experience and they enjoy instructing and introducing new surfers to their local waves. Merrick is two times Australian Champion and World Pro Am Champion; he uses his specially developed 1-2-3 stand up system to finally make surfing easy! All lessons - beginners through to pro - progress through the skills of surfing according to your ability and previous experience. The instructors will start by checking the surf conditions with you and lead into the warm up to prepare your body for a session of surfing fun, entertainment and improvement. The lesson is two hours duration one on one with your own private surf coach.
We can also arrange a private lesson for two people for $180.

My wife gave me a 2hr private surfing lesson as a Christmas gift. I can honestly say it was one of the best gifts I have been given. I have always wanted to learn to surf properly but as an older person thought i was a bit past it. However Dave at Noosa Learn to Surf was and excellent instructor who made me feel totally at ease and by the end of the lesson I was actually standing and surfing. Experience Details

Fitness and Experience

There is a minimum age limit of 7 years and you must be able to swim 25 meters
There are no height or weight restrictions as there is a huge collection of boards to suit each individual
There are no fitness requirements and no previous experience is necessary

What to Bring/Wear

Bring a swimsuit & towel
Wear clothes suited to the weather on the day
Bottle of water
Remember to pack your sunscreen and lip balm and apply at least 30 minutes prior to the lesson
If you are an experienced surfer, bring your beloved board as well

What is Supplied

Surfboard suited to your ability and size (For beginners we use soft, stable surfboards which are easy to balance, paddle, stand and surf on)
Rash vest and wetsuit in the winter
Professional and friendly surf instruction
Change rooms and showers
1 x 2 hour one on one private surf lesson

More Information

When and where can I surf? Lessons run daily on Noosa Main beach at 9.30am – 11.30am and 2.00pm – 4.00pm excluding Christmas Day. What about photographs? Photographs of your stylish surfing moments are available on the day. What about transport? Free pick up and drop off to all hotels and hostels in the Noosa area is available. Noosa is located 30 minutes north of Maroochydore or 2 hours north of Brisbane. Sunair Bus services operate from Brisbane Airport and Henry’s bus service operates out of Maroochydore Airport.
We can also arrange a private lesson for two people for $180.
