Witnessing dolphins and seals playing in their natural environment is so often a life-enhancing experience. And you don’t have to travel far! You can make friends with these intelligent mammals just a short distance from Melbourne, at the picturesque seaside village of Sorrento on the Mornington Peninsula.

Your adventure begins with a safety briefing on board the boat, followed by the journey out, on the beautiful southern waters of Port Phillip Bay. Swim with wild bottlenose dolphins, explore reefs with sea dragons, view marine life and frolic with playful fur seals. Highly trained and experienced crew introduce you to snorkelling with an emphasis on safety and environmental awareness.

Open water experiences abound. This truly is the marine adventure of a lifetime. Price is for 2 people, there will be others in the boat with you.

I thoroughly enjoyed the morning out on the boat and although I didn't see any dolphins while I was in the water seeing them surf the bow of the boat was pretty amazing and the home made date scones ROCKED!

A truly amazing experience. Too see both seals and dolphins in their natural habitat playing naturally was so surreal. We were very lucky to swim with both the seals and dolphins, especially the dolphins as they are harder to locate. To see one come out from the murky depths of the bay and just swim under me about a metre away for what seemed like ages was just awesome! Would recommend this trip to everyone who's looking for a fantastic memorable adventure.

Experience Details

Fitness and Experience

Participants should be physically and medically fit and able to participate in open, deep, cool water activities. Please feel free to discuss any concerns with our office at the time of booking
Entry to and exit from the water is via a fixed 3 step ladder onto a dive platform level with the water.
Children are welcome to participate. There is no minimum age, but children must be willing to enter deep, open water. Our staff offer supervision and snorkelling skills are taught

What to Bring/Wear

Please bring warm clothing, hat, sun screen (and a camera!)
Swimmers should bring bathers and towel (have your bathing suit ready under your clothes)

What is Supplied

2 spaces on the dolphin swim experience
Morning or afternoon tea of scones, tea, coffee, and hot-chocolate
Wetsuits, masks and snorkels are provided
Instructors and guides
A fully crewed passenger vessel conducting trips under licence to Parks Victoria and Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE)

More Information

Dolphins are wild animals and interactions cannot be guaranteed on every occasion. We use a multi-award winning eco tourism business that embraces sustainability principles.

Passenger safety and the dolphins' protection are of paramount importance, and so we purposely limit the size of our trips to guarantee a high standard of customer and environmental care. Our on-board facilities include a galley for serving refreshments, change areas and toilet. Wetsuits, masks and snorkels are all supplied. Reef and seal swims are often part of our trips so be prepared to see and experience much more than just dolphins.

Our season is from October to April inclusively.
Numbers on the boat are strictly limited to make the experience more enjoyable.
