This is a skydiving experience for 2 people. Skydiving is known, for very good reason, as life's ultimate thrill. It's the big daddy, the adventure and rush by which all others are measured. Amazingly, the buzz of free fall is an easy and safe experience, especially during a tandem skydiving adventure.

On the ground you and your partner will be suited up in skydiving gear and your professional skydiving instructors will run through a few "dirt dives" – practice skydiving exits from mock aircraft. You'll also be taught the skydiving basics of canopy control and safe landing procedures. Once you're confident with this skydiving knowledge you'll enjoy a 20-minute flight to an altitude of 14,000 feet (over 4,200 metres) where, after a final check, it's time to hop out and take the quick way down – skydiving to Sydney!

The beauty of tandem skydiving is that it requires none of the usual intensive skydiving training, but offers 100 per cent of the mind-blowing, 200km/hr open-air thrill. The feeling is often described as floating on a cushion of air as you hurtle 7,500 feet through the sky in 60 seconds. The skydiving parachute is deployed at around 4,500 feet, offering an intensely serene experience and one of the world's greatest views – perfect for reflecting on the high-adrenalin skydiving adventure you've just enjoyed. During the five-minute glide to earth you'll be taught to control your direction and descent speed and, once you touch down, you'll be on a high for weeks – guaranteed.

The sensation of falling to planet Earth at 200km an hour was gracefully peaceful for me, so that came as a surprise. I simply absorbed the experience with all my senses and enjoyed the beauty of this magnificent planet from 14,000ft and falling swiftly.

Loved It, Loved It, Loved It. Can you tell I Loved It? I loved it so much that I had to jump again and was up in the air a second time within 20 mins of my first jump. Can't wait for an excuse to visit Picton again for another go. J : )

We had 3 generations of girls skydiving on Saturday - Grandma, Daughter in law, and Granddaughter. They are still so pumped up about the experience, and if they play their DVD's once more they will wear out my DVD player. What a fabulous memory you have put in their lives ! THANK YOU

The feeling that you get when you know you're falling through the clouds and flying through the sky....it's unbelievable!! Nothing can beat the adrenalin rush that you get when you jump out of the plane, into mid air, into nothing, ITS AWESOME!!!!

Absolutely awesome experience. That split second when you leave the plane is scary (not that you really have time to dwell on it though) but the freefall after is absolutely out of this world. I'm not normally an adrenalin junkie but I would definitely do this again. My instructor Paul was brilliant, a great laugh but at no time did I have any concerns about my safety. That bit he took very seriously. It was the easiest thing to organise and the most awesome experience I've ever had. I highly recommend it.

Fitness and Experience

No particular level of fitness is required but people with heart conditions or epilepsy cannot jump
No experience is required
No heavy drinking the night before and a decent breakfast on the morning are recommended

Tandem Skydiving is for anyone looking for the ultimate rush. However, in order to meet our strict safety standards we have certain restrictions:

You must be 14 years or over (14-18 years parental/guardian consent is required)
You must not be at high risk of having a heart attack
You must not be not pregnant
We may need to ask you some basic questions about your health
Should you have any doubts it is best to consult your doctor
For safety reasons, we need to be advised if you weigh greater than 95kg. Please note: There is a weight limit of 115kg and a weight excess fee of $100 applies to anyone weighing over 95kg

What to Bring/Wear

Wear comfortable casual clothes without too many buttons
Jeans, track pants or shorts with a t-shirt or sweatshirt and runners are perfect
Please avoid wearing shoes or boots with 'hook' style laces or chunky tread and heels
A kiosk is at the drop zone for drinks, snacks, chocolate, sandwiches etc
A BBQ is also available should you want to use it
Be sun smart and bring a hat/cap and sunscreen
Bring $25 in cash to pay on the day for the APF (Australian Parachute Federation) Levy

More Information

You and your partner will be assigned a tandem master per person. When can I jump? Jumps are available weekends throughout the year. Name a date! Allow half a day for the whole event. What about spectators/photos? Spectators are more than welcome. It's exciting for them to share the adrenalin rush with you. Why not bring a picnic and spend the afternoon relaxing in the sunshine and watch the colourful parachutes opening across the skies and floating back to earth. Videos and an inspirational set of 24 stills are $125 midweek or $145 on weekends. Videos are usually made on the day and handed to you after you have had sufficient time to ‘come back to earth’ and change out of your jumpsuit. Simply organise and pay for these lifelong memories at the drop zone on the day of your jump.
