Extreme 4X4 Comp Drive, NIGHT SESSION - Avalon Raceway

Forget candlelit dinners or nightclubbing and get dirty after-dark in Melbourne! These are the same Extreme 4X4's driven by Jules Lund in Getaway! 
Driving radical Extreme 4x4’s through crazy tracks is one thing, doing it at night with limited visibility is another thing all together! 

The sessions starts at 7:30 PM so there is still some daylight to give the drivers a chance to familiarise themselves with the vehicles while they can still see what they’re doing. Soon enough though the darkness closes in and the normally unforgiving tracks get downright nasty.

The first drive of the evening is ‘Razor Back’ where the drivers start to hone their skills with the controls. It’s a short course but one that will force you to learn some driving skills very quickly or suffer the consequences.

Next it’s time to jump into the passenger seat as an Instructor takes you for a spin through ‘Chuckies Revenge’. This is a tough course in the daylight as, amongst other obstacles, you have to drive up a concrete wall, spin the 4x4 on its own length and drive through a narrow gorge that barely fits half the 4x4. Driving this at night is just silly.

‘Hell-dorado’ is the next track on the agenda. Traction is always an issue on this course and since you won’t be able to see a lot you’ll need some precision driving to get through. With sweeping corners, off-camber turns and a big drop off this one demands some respect at night.

The BIG challenge though is your last drive of the night: ‘Chuckies Revenge’. With limited visibility this course is hugely challenging to say the least. With several sections of the course that put the vehicle in a near roll over position, this is definitely one to get the heart pumping.

Keep in mind the Monster 4x4s are one of the few experiences where you can take passengers for all of your drives. You can take up to 3 different passengers (one at a time) for you Comp Drive Night experience; warn them ahead of time though; being a passenger for a night drive is not for the faint hearted.
