For the first time in United States history, you and 20 of your friends, colleagues, or business prospects are invited to experience weightless flight. Zero gravity flights have been used by NASA for 40 years to train astronauts, and were used during the filming of Apollo 13 to simulate spaceflights with Toms Hanks and crew. There are few things that can inspire, educate, and motivate the way that spaceflight can. All people can remember a time when they looked into the night sky and dreamed of floating like an astronaut in Earth orbit. Zero-G Flights are based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but are available anywhere in North America. We apply the highest standards of safety, this FAA approved activity offers everyone the chance to enjoy the fun and exhilarating dream of weightlessness. During a weightless flight you will experience what it is like to walk on Mars, the Moon, and be weightless like you are in Earth orbit. In addition, this program includes luxury hotel and spa accommodation, leadership by a veteran NASA astronaut, most meals, limousine transfers, and much more.

Day 1 Morning/Afternoon - Arrival at Ft. Lauderdale International Airport. A Space Adventures representative will meet your group after customs/baggage check, followed by limo transfer to your luxury resort and spa in Ft. Lauderdale. Evening - Meet your flight training staff and fellow participants during a dinner reception at the hotel.

Day 2 Morning - Group limo transfer to flight orientation. Inspirational and fun training by astronaut mentor prior to flight. Preflight safety briefing and assignment of trainers. Light lunch Afternoon - Group transfer to Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Zero-gravity flight! You and your team will experience the freedom of zero-gravity. Evening - Celebrate your successful flight at a private dinner and awards ceremony with your astronaut mentor and flight crew.

Day 3 Morning - Free time for beach activities and spa treatment. Afternoon - Explore downtown Ft. Lauderdale's restaurants, river walk, and souvenir shops. Evening - Sample local cuisine, or enjoy a dinner cruise launching from downtown Ft. Lauderdale.

Day 4 Morning - Your driver and SA guide will meet your group at the lobby for limousine transfer back to the airport. Weightless Flight (also known as Parabolic Flight) is achieved aboard ZERO-G's Boeing 727 aircraft named G FORCE ONE. Weightlessness is achieved by flying G FORCE ONE through a parabolic flight maneuver. Specially trained pilots fly these maneuvers between approximately 24,000 and 34,000 feet altitude. Each parabola takes 10 miles of airspace to perform and lasts approximately one minute from start to finish. The maneuver is somewhat like a roller coaster in that the plane is initially pulled up to approximately 45 degrees "nose high." Next the plane is "pushed over" the top to reach the zero-gravity segment of the parabolas. For the next 25 to 30 seconds everything in the plane is weightless. At approximately 30 degrees "nose low" a gentle pull-out is started which allows the Flyers to stabilize on the aircraft floor. Finally, the g-force is increased smoothly to about 1.8 G's until the aircraft reaches a flight altitude of 24,000 feet. The maneuver is then repeated. The weightlessness experienced by everyone inside the airplane is actually equivalent to the type of "free fall" you experience when sky diving. In this case however, the body of the aircraft surrounds you and protects you from the on rushing wind. At the end of the free fall period, the aircraft also scoops you up and carries you back up to the top of the arc to begin the free fall process again. Weightlessness Thirty second segments of zero-g sounds very short. However, to put it into perspective, thirty seconds is 5 times longer than the average bungee jump and about the same length of time as the average free-fall during sky diving. The only difference is you get to do it 15 times more! During the 30 second period you'll be able to "fly" the entire length of the airplane, conduct experiments, or flip and twist like an Olympic gymnast. It is often observed that most people get motion sick not because of the weightlessness sensation but during the periods of maximum acceleration and higher G's. Space Adventures has taken a number of steps to minimize the incidence of motion sickness and make your experience a fun, comfortable and inspirational flight.

more information

  • We limit the number of parabolas for our public flights to about 15; a number which most everyone can handle.
  • We "ease" into weightlessness by first conducting Martian-g parabolas (1/3 of a G), followed by Lunar-g parabolas (1/6 of a G) parabolas, before getting to our zero-g parabolas. In this fashion you can get used to the reduced weightlessness in a gradual fashion that will reduce anxiety and reduce motion sickness.
  • Because these flights are all about your comfort, enjoyment and safety, we will typically place a few minutes of straight and level flight interspersed into our flight profile.
  • We prescribe light meals low in proteins or dairy products during the day of the flight. • Should anyone get motion sick, we have a fully dedicated flight attendant onboard assigned to take care of that person. Program Highlights • Charter your own Zero Gravity flight.
  • Exceed your business goals by motivating colleagues, and wowing business partners
  • Float, flip, and fly the same way orbiting astronauts do.
  • Experience 15 parabolas of Martian, Lunar, and Zero gravity.
  • Learn from a veteran NASA astronaut about weightlessness training.
  • Relax and enjoy one of Florida's top beach resort and spa.
