Your V8 race car drive day begins with a registration, followed by on-track observation laps with an instructor at the wheel covering apexes, braking points and overtaking procedure (though it's not a race, overtaking is common - and very exciting!). Then it's off to the pit lane, where you're fitted out with racing overalls and helmet.Your personal instructor will coach you through the intercom to make sure you go as fast as you can, as safely as you can on the 8 lap session.

Fitness and Experience
- You must be able to fit into a XXXL race suit
- For the V8 drive experience you must have a current drivers licence and experience in a manual transmission car
- No real fitness is required but if you have any medical concerns or dietary restrictions, please advise us as soon as possible so that we may accommodate you
What to Bring/Wear
- You must bring your driving licence on the day
- Wear clothes appropriate for weather on the day
- Wear a comfortable pair of enclosed shoes
- Bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses on hot sunny days
- Definitely bring your camera

More Information
The classic grandstand and enclosed viewing area provide an exceptional view of the entire track. Complimentary tea and coffee will be available on the day and a BBQ will be open on all Saturday and Sunday race days for the purchase of light meals.

Calder Park Raceway is very accessible, just an easy 20 minute drive from Melbourne.
Alcohol:
0.00% blood alcohol level is mandatory. No alcohol is to be brought to the track. You are asked to advise the operator of any medical conditions including any medication you may be taking. This is not a suitable activity for drivers who are pregnant. Drivers must be 18 years or older and have a current or Provisional licence. The race vehicles use a manual gearbox and drivers without a manual driver’s licence would find it extremely difficult to operate these vehicles.
Drivers exceeding 130 kg in weight cannot be safely or comfortably accommodated in the race suits and cars.
Session Length:
Allow 3 hours from your booking commencement time for the completion of your experience.
Numbers:
The event hosts a large number of participants commencing at 8.30 a.m. and usually concluding around 5 p.m. You will be given a booking time and you should arrive 15 minutes before to register and complete an Indemnity Form.
Dress Code:
You are advised to wear comfortable full-length cotton trousers eg jeans and flat-soled shoes. You will change into a race suit and helmet which will be provided on the day. If spectacles are worn when driving, it is best if they are soft-framed close fitting. There are no security lockers available at the raceways.
Spectators:
Spectators are welcome to attend and take in the action. All attendees must adhere to Race Track safety regulations.
Availability:
We recommend you book as early as possible as the Race Days are generally booked out well in advance.
Other Information:
You can even organize an in-car DVD of their race experience on the day for a further $125.
