Nothing shakes the body like the roar of a V8 race car, and nothing stirs the soul more than a session of hot laps in a V8 six-speed Commodore or Monaro around the Grand Prix Circuit of Victoria's legendary race track, Phillip Island.

The Phillip Island V8 drive day begins with a briefing conducted by experienced race drivers. During practical on-track observation laps, your driver will demonstrate techniques on cornering, apexes and exiting, efficient braking and acceleration, steering, gear changes and general car control. Safety and track awareness will also be discussed. There's plenty of time to ask questions so you'll feel completely comfortable before putting V8 race car theory into practice.

Then it's time to let loose your inner revhead during a session of real life V8 driving action. Each driver does 2 driving sessions, starting with five laps behind the wheel of their V8 Commodore or Monaro around the Grand Prix Circuit of Phillip Island Circuit. Pull over and your instructor will feed back to you, offering personalised hints and tips to make sure you get the most from your drive. Then with your confidence on high, you'll buckle up behind the wheel for a further 7 drive laps in the car.

Just when you reckon you can drive a V8 like Mark Skaife, your experienced race driver will take control again for two more seriously quick V8 hot laps that you're not likely to forget for a very long time!

loved every bit of my ride . danny done a great job when explaining what we are to do and when to do it . I work in a sawmill in colac with 200 staff, only one day back at work so far but have told about ten workmates what a marvelous way to spend three hours.

Experience Details

Fitness and Experience

You must be able to fit into a XXXL race suit
For the V8 drive experience you must have a current drivers license and experience in a manual transmission car
No real fitness is required but if you have any medical concerns or dietary restrictions, please advise us as soon as possible so that we may accommodate you

What to Bring/Wear

You must bring your drivers license on the day
Wear clothes appropriate for weather on the day
Wear a comfortable pair of enclosed shoes
Bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses on hot sunny days
Definitely bring your camera
Spectators are welcome
You must bring your booking confirmation with you on the day

Briefing about the ride, racing and safety
Full tuition for driving courses by professional race drivers
