Nothing shakes the body like the roar of a V8 race car, and nothing stirs the soul more than a driving session in a race-prepared V8 Holden Commodore or Ford Falcon around The Circuit.

The V8 drive experience begins with a briefing conducted by experienced race drivers. During a briefing and 2 orientation laps driven by an instructor around this 2.5km track, your driver will explain techniques on cornering, apexes and exiting, efficient braking and acceleration, steering, gear changes and general car control. Safety and track awareness will also be discussed. There's plenty of time to ask questions so you'll feel completely comfortable before putting V8 race car theory into practice.

Then it's time to let loose your inner revhead during a session of real life V8 driving action. Each driver does 3 lots of 4 laps (total 12 laps at 2.1km per lap) behind the wheel of their V8 Commodore or Falcon - these are seriously quick laps that you're not likely to forget for a very long time!

The V8 super school 12 lap blast is definately worth it. The only issue is you will leave with a massive buzz and wanting so much more. If only it could be 3 lots of 12 laps. I found myself driving home looking at the apex and correct lines of corners. Although as one clown wrote, the cars are only as fast as his Typhoon, the track is not set up for straight line speed or power. It is about learning position and lines on a race track and being blown away by the cornering of a race prepared car. It hangs on beyond a novices belief and way beyond the capabilities of any Typhoon.

Fitness and Experience

For the V8 drive experience you must have a current drivers licence and experience in a manual transmission car
No real fitness is required but if you have any medical concerns or dietary restrictions, please advise us as soon as possible so that we may accommodate you
Anyone found to be over 0.00% will not be permitted to participate
Contact us if you are over 110kg or 6ft4 (193cm)
Must be able to fit into a 2XL Race suit

What to Bring/Wear

You must produce your drivers licence and Adrenalin confirmation on the day
Wear clothes appropriate for weather on the day
Wear a comfortable pair of enclosed shoes
Bring sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses on hot sunny days
Definitely bring your camera
Family and Friends are welcome to come and spectate

More Information

A fleet of Commodores and Falcons have been purpose-built for the V8 Super School. The vehicles are presented in a selection of V8 Supercar team livery designs including Morris’ Sirromet Wines team, Castrol Edge, Marcos Ambrose-Team Australia, Jeldwen and Orrcon. All vehicles are equipped with a safety roll cage, racing seats and harnesses, full race aero kits, quick-shift gearboxes, Supercar-like suspension and slick racing tyres.
