White Water Rafting, Nymboida River 4-day - Coffs Harbour

White Water Rafting, Nymboida River 4-day - Coffs Harbour
location: Coffs Harbour (Coffs Harbour)
item: WH12929IT
price: AUD $7,200.00
(for groups of 10)

Nymboida River rafting is rated moderate to challenging offering mainly grade 3 and 4 rapids. In times of high waters a couple of grade 5 stints will test your courage! (Rapids are graded from 1-6, with 1 being easiest and grade 5 being the highest grade permitted for commercial rafting groups.) This 27km white water adventure unravels within the magnificent wilderness country of Nymboi-Binderay National Park, west of Coffs Harbour in Northern NSW (approximately six hours North of Sydney).

This sub-tropical environment provides everything from powerful, rushing rapids to quietened, calm pools where you can swim and appreciate nature. Before leaving the riverbank and flicking the action switch on, your knowledgeable and experienced guides will take some time out to teach you the basics – including a safety briefing, paddling techniques, what to do if you fall out of the raft and how to create the best splash in the water wars against the other rafts. The rules of white water rafting are simple and will be enforced during the day for your safety and to help build confidence within your team of rafting enthusiasts.

Over the 4 days we travel 27km down the river, to be met by four wheel drive vehicles for our return to Coffs Harbour. We usually get back to Coffs Harbour by 6.30pm. Lunch, dinner and breakfast is included during your trip, and afternoon tea is served on completion.

More Information

Minimum numbers 10 passengers.

Provided the river levels are sufficient to provide fun-filled, safe rafting, we will run the 4-day rafting trip every weekend. If you have a group of adventurous friends we may be able to organise a weekday expedition for you.

CAMPING INFO : Most of our campsites are on sandy beaches where large tarpaulins are erected for sleeping under. Mozzies are not usually a problem. A permanent, National Parks style toilet block has now been erected at our Cod Hole overnight campsite. Toilets are located a short walk away from the river and must be used for all solid wastes. For 3 and 4 day trips a carry out system is used for campsites without amenities. Generally clients assist in setting up camp. Always advise your guides if you intend to go bush walking and the general direction and duration from camp. All rubbish that cannot be burnt environmentally is carried out. Please don't pollute the river with soap, shampoo, or toothpaste. Use a cup or bucket to dispose of waste water above the river line.

WEATHER : From October to April days are usually hot and sunny and nights are mild to warm. Afternoon thunderstorms can be expected during January to March. From May through September cool days and cold nights can be expected and a wetsuit is recommended, and provided when necessary.
