White Water Rafting, 1 Day Mitta Mitta River - Omeo
- 18km of grade 2 to 4 whitewater thrills in crystal clear mountain water
- Over 60 rapids graded from 2 to 4
- Exquisite wilderness, Australian wildlife and stunning natural environment
- Delicious riverside lunch at your private river-side billabong
The Mitta River is by far the best Whitewater experience in Victoria! We have clients returning year after year to test their skills against Mother Nature’s moods, that’s right guys this is real whitewater, not the type of rapids you’ll find in a bath tub.
The Mitta Mitta River surges from the mountains of north eastern Victoria through magnificent Alpine Gorges to the picturesque Omeo Valley. The remoteness and beauty of this area add to the memories of this experience as the narrow, twisting river surges through spectacular rock formations within steep, granite ravines.
As the Mitta Mitta boasts one of the highest ‘put-ins’ in Australia at 680m in elevation, the continuous grade 2-4 rapids make for a wild descent off the Great Divide. What this means for you and your rafting experience? It’s well worth the journey out of the city for the maximum whitewater adrenalin return!
On this one day whitewater rafting trip you will paddle 18KM of Grade 2 – 4 rapids. Our experienced and passionate guides will ensure an awesome day of thrills, whilst tackling over 60 rapids with names like The Graveyard, Dislocation, Widow Maker, Waterfall and The Gobbler. You had better pack extra adrenalin before you leave home!
You can join us for an epic rafting trip for over 10 months of the year between July to May with August to December being our peak season. Spring is generally the best time to come big boat rafting – 1 and 2 day trips on the Mitta Mitta River.
Summer is generally the best time to go sports rafting – 1 and 2 day trips on the Mitta Mitta, Snowy Creek or the Upper Murray Rivers.
