White Water Sport Rafting, Goolang Hydro Release Half Day Sport Rafting - Coffs Harbour
Rafting on the Goolang Hydro Release is certain to entertain the complete novice as well as experienced white water warriors. Nymboida River rafting is rated easy to moderate, offering grade 2-3 rapids. Constant water levels through the Nymboida Hydro Power Station release provide a steady flow the entire length of the Goolang that requires minimum paddling by participants.
Before leaving the riverbank and flicking the action switch on, your knowledgeable and experienced guides will take some time out to teach you the basics – including a safety briefing, paddling techniques, what to do if you fall out of the raft and how to create the best splash in the water wars against the other sports rafts. The rules of sports rafting are simple and will be enforced during the afternoon for your safety and to help build confidence within your team of rafting enthusiasts.
This afternoon of white water, adrenalin pumping action begins at about 12.45pm and will have you returning to town happily exhausted around 6.30pm depending on the day and river levels. Afternoon tea on completion is included.

More Information
Minimum numbers are required for trips to go ahead. Provided the river levels are sufficient to provide fun-filled, safe rafting, we run rafting trips most weekends. If you have a group of adventurous friends we may be able to organise a weekday expedition for you.
If you are travelling a long way to take part in this adventure, there are alternative activities that you can do if the water levels are too low to raft. These include surf rafting, river kayaking, sea kayaking, surfing or platypus tours.
Rapids are graded from 1-6, with 1 being easiest and grade 5 being the highest grade permitted for commercial rafting groups.
