I absolutely loved my swimming with the dolphins experience! I've always loved dolphins but swimming with them was out of this world!! They were so curious and came so close to me. Would highly recommend anyone going to NZ to make the trip to the Bay of Islands.

Fitness and Experience

Participants should be physically and medically fit and able to participate in open, deep, cool water activities. Please feel free to discuss any concerns with our office at the time of booking
Children are welcome to participate. To fully enjoy the experience children must be willing to enter deep, open water. Our staff offer supervision and snorkelling skills are taught

What to Bring/Wear

Please bring warm clothing, hat, sun screen (and a camera!)
Swimmers should bring bathers and towel (have your bathing suit ready under your clothes)

What is Supplied

Wetsuits, masks and snorkels are provided
Instructors and guides
A fully crewed passenger vessel

More Information

There is no guarantee of swimming with dolphins. The boat operates with a Department of Conservation permit however for the protection of Dolphins and other marine mammals, interaction with them is governed by the Marine Mammal Protection Act. If the conditions of the Act are not met or the sea conditions are not safe then trips will be viewing only.

If dolphins are not seen, a non-transferable voucher will be given to come again for free.

1 November to 31 April, trips depart Paihia 8.00am & 12.30pm, departs Russell 8.10am & 12.40pm.

1 May to 31 October, trips depart Paihia 9.00am & 1.30pm, departs Russell 9.10am & 1.40pm.
